It's almost time to Trick or Treat

This is my sweet Abby Cadabby-this year will be much more fun since we were only home a week last year. This was before we went Trick or Treating at Boo in the Zoo so she got a little practice and loved it, now keeping the candy to a limit will be hard. At least we got 2 nights use out of the costume. And for those of you who don't know who Abby Cadabby is: she is a fairly new fairy on Sesame Street-one of her favorites.

Gotcha Day Party

Oh what a day, Ellie's 1st Gotcha Day party was a blast. We rented a bounce house and all the kids bounced till their little bodies couldn't bounce anymore (even the adults had fun bouncing-and let me tell you those are hard to bounce in). The weather was great and I think everyone enjoyed themselves. It is hard hosting a party and not getting to talk to everyone. Some old grade school friends came that I have not seen in a while which was great. Lots of food, family, friends and fun. Can't wait till next year!

Tomorrow is Gotcha Day-WOW!!!

1 year gotcha day is tomorrow-oh how time flys! Where has it gone? Well, let me tell you--we did not sleep through the night for about the first 3-4 months and now we sleep like a rock! We are potty trained now and only took about 2 weeks. We were not saying much and now we speak in full sentences and even like to be sassy. Our independence is getting stronger but is a very good with manners-there is always a please and thank you. We sometimes have terrible 2 tantrums but then will turn around and be so silly. There is always a smile every morning and laughter every night, and I always get "mommy I missed you" after I've been gone. Who would have thought the toughest thing I think I've been through lately has become the most joyful and rewarding thing I've done in my whole life. Every day is a new adventure and I'm so proud to call her my own. (ladybug photo was 6 days after we got home and pumpkin photo a few weeks ago)

First Time Blogger

I'm a first time blogger thanks to another "adoptee" friend, I don't know how well I will be able to keep up with it but I will try. We are coming up on our "1 year Gotcha Day" and it is hard to believe. Oh how time flys and how my "hunan monkey" has grown and blossomed. We had our 1 year post placement a few weeks ago and it is all finished. Last check was written-yeah!
